  • We saw this beautiful black Timber Wolf out for a walk on the side of the road to Sunshine. We were on our way to go hiking at Sunshine Meadows and obviously had to stop to appreciate this fellow.

  • Coyotes are very hard to photograph because they are extremely wary and they normally take off running as soon as they know that you've seen them. It's uncanny really how they almost completely ignore you until they know that they've been spotted. So I was pretty excited when I found a pair of them that weren't too concerned about me being there. Of course they were cautious, but they actually allowed me to watch them for several minutes. In fact they didn't take off until I tried to get a little bit closer...©2010, Sean Phillips.http://www.Sean-Phillips.com

  • I had seen this coyote earlier while it was wandering in the middle of the frozen lake at Carburn Park. There were people walking all around the park and it really did nothing to avoid them. I eventually found it again a little further back in the woods. There were also dozens of deer wandering in the woods and they were very skittish while the coyote was near. They are very used to people and completely ignored me...©2009, Sean Phillips.http://www.Sean-Phillips.com

  • I went for a drive East of Calgary and came across a pair of Coyotes on the open prairie. The first one took off running almost immediately (very typical coyote beahviour) but the second one unexpectedly stood proudly and let me watch for awhile...©2011, Sean Phillips.http://www.RiverwoodPhotography.com
