  • There are White-tailed Jackrabbits all over the place on the prairies and sometimes you can see them every day, while other times you rarely see them.  I haven't seen any in a couple of weeks and then all of a sudden this week several juvenile animals appeared.   • It was a hot sunny day and there were hawks circling high over head. This poor White-tailed Jackrabbit was desperately trying not to be noticed and it laid perfectly still. Why it would choose to do so in the middle of a wide open grassy area I have no idea...<br />
