We pulled into the Sheepeater Cliff picnic area mainly because of the strange name. The area is named after a the Western Shoshone band who were known as Tukuaduka (sheep eaters). The area is known for the interesting columnar rock formations in the cliffs along the river, and also for the jumbled boulders that have fallen from the cliffs that make for a fun place to play!..©2009, Sean Phillips.http://www.Sean-Phillips.com
